Each of the colors represents one aspect of the whole human experience. The affinity for each color overlaps with a traditional 7 chakra system for the purpose of building a framework in which each color can organize experiences.

Rood is both Dutch for red, the color of the root chakra, and the name afforded to the crucifix that hung at the entrance to medieval churches. Rood represents the juxtaposition of the selfish energy of survival with the selflessness of forgiveness. For in a world rife with malice, forgiveness is the only power that can unite and ensure survival. Forgiveness is not some mystical power reserved for religion; it is an everyday power that humans can bestow on each other and – most importantly – themselves.

ORNJ represents the sacral chakra, located below the naval at the base of the diaphragm. In both Chinese and Hebrew the concept of ‘breath’ and ‘life’ are represented with the same characters. Representing the dichotomy of dedication, persistence, and creativity vs fragmentation, deadened senses, and disconnection from the core self ORNJ strives for moral repair.

YELL-O represent the chakra of the solar plexus. Presenting the paradoxical contrast of confidence, personal power, and fearlessness with shame, domination, fear, and temper.

GRRReen represents the refracted light of the heart chakra. At the center, it balances the raw feelings of the first 3 with the contemplative aspects of the last 3. GRRReen explores a spectrum ranging from disconnected, grieving solitude to compassionate, loving interconnectedness.

Blew represents the throat chakra and the plosive force of breath. Representing open communication, the cornerstone of living an authentic life. Center of creative power, drawing from the prior to share the truth of the deeper aspects of self.

endIgo represents the one-track-mind of following the vision of the indigo chakra: the third eye. It is the source of dreams to follow, imagination, mental endurance, peace and balance, but it also represents duality, denial, obsessions, arrogance, aloofness, superiority, and poor decision making.

Vie-Lit represents the crown chakra and the eternal struggle to maintain an enlightened perspective: curiosity and wanting to learn vs being stuck in one way of thinking, emotionally balanced vs dissociated, wholeness vs fragmentation. The higher level thinking of Vie-Lit attempts to frame the experiences of the prior in a manner that serves developing the higher self; the self who can find the positive lesson in any experience.
