When it comes to making music, my overall goal is to match the emotional content of the lyrics. This does not fit neatly into one genre. Sound design is a large part of the creative process, where finding the right sound to express an emotion guides the overall direction of the music.
Whether it is manipulating recordings of everyday sounds or patching/programming software, analog, and/or modular synths, creating the sound is where the majority of the creative time is spent. Lyrics come first and are the easiest to produce for my art, and they lay the foundation for the composition.
